Just like sand at the beach, influential people are as many as you can think of. I bring you a compilation of influential people to look out for in 2023.
1. HAMIS KIGGUNDU
The re-known business mogul can never go unnoticed as roads, buildings shout out his name. The real estate investor always leaves a mark wherever he sows as inscriptions of his name are on buildings such as Ham Towers in Kampala, Uganda.
Hamis Kiggundu alias Ham is a real estate and property developer, philanthropist, author and lawyer.
The author of “Success and Failure Based on Reason and Reality and Reason” with US$870 Million net worth as stated in 2021 by Forbes. He disregards the ideology of one waiting to accrue “big money” such as Shs100 million, rather, one should respect the little money they have and look at it as capital thus any money can be used as capital provided one has proper reasoning and the right mindset.
2. STELLA MARION ATHIENO
Most times we spend time watching the big dogs and forget the raising stars. Meet Athieno Stella Marion a Strategy and Communication Consultant.
“Ella” terms her journey as grass to grace, from waiting tables in restaurants to earning millions is something iconic.
A heroine without “stones” from war is what I term her. Mentoring young people in their various walks of life.
3. ROBERT KYAGULANYI alias Bobi Wine
From singing to politics, dreadlocks to a haircut, what more can we expect. They say roots define a man but Robert defied the odds by going further than we ever anticipated.
From being a Member of Parliament to aspiring for the presidential seat, if you have no big dreams may you find motivation from Robert.
“Baby steps” that’s exactly what I would describe his journey, for years we knew him as an artist and now a solid politician isn’t God great.
4. EDRISAH MUSUUZA alias Kenzo
Speaking of “children who make their parents proud”, the Grammy Nominated Ugandan singer and music executive is a founder and member of Big Talent Entertainment.
Eddy has lifted “The Pearl of Africa” through music as he won the AFRIMA Awards, first Ugandan Artist to win BET Award in 2015 and more.
The well accomplished artist is devoted to his music and children Maya Masuuza, Amaal Musuuza. His devotions teach one to hold onto their belief and family.
5. DAVID EARNEST SSEBULIME
Director of Missions and Outreach Brentwood UMC, founder and volunteer at Raise the Roof Academy a Non-profit organization in Bwassandeku-Uganda. The Academy’s mission is to fight poverty through education and to restore dignity through leadership empowerment and development.
The Academy sponsors more than a thousand children in Primary and Secondary Education. Suffice to note that this has greatly uplifted the face of Bwassandeku located in Greater Masaka, Uganda.
6. Patrick Bitature
Businessman, entrepreneur, author, chairman and Group CEO of the Simba Group of Companies primarily based in East Africa should definitely be on your “MOTIVATION LIST”. Wading through various hardships and debt to climb the ladder of success, you might want to hold on to your dream tighter and fight to get where you want to be.
Believed to one of the wealthiest Ugandans, some sources state that he is the wealthiest industrialist in Uganda.
The author of “Get Inspired” is definitely a figure to look out for in 2023. With the belief that “Your Network is your Net-worth” and in the aspect of humility you wont regret picking motivation from him.
7. Sudhir Ruparelia
The Ugandan business mogul of Indian origin cannot go unnoticed, at least you’ve heard or read about Crane Bank. His investments are mainly in areas of broadcasting, education, banking, insurance, real estate, floriculture, resorts and hotels.
I’m certain we’ve all heard or at least been to Speke Resort Munyonyo which happens to be one of his big investments.
