Who Is Abigail Mulungi?
Abigail is a popular young Ugandan girl who reads news on social media, especially on TikTok. She gained her fame after parroting NTV Uganda news anchor, Priscilla Nalwoga. This triggered the news anchor to pay the 9-year-old a surprise visit at their home in Kyanja. Mulungi was born on 15th September 2013 to Mr. and Mrs. Nsereko along with 3 brothers and sisters. She studied her lower primary at Grand Salai Nursery and Junior School in P3 Brilliant.
How Did Abigail Gain Her Passion For News Anchoring?
Abigail Mulungi told Edge Times that she found herself turning on the TV every time it clocked time for news. She then eventually told her Dad that she wants to become a news anchor. He has done his best as the little girl has excellent camera-eye contact when she’s reading the news. Additionally, her passion is fueled by the motivation of her classmates. “My classmates say I’m doing a great job and when I feel down, they encourage me to keep going!”, said Abigail Mulungi in a video interview with Kampala Edge Times. Well, it looks like this motivation has not gone to waste as she hit 100,000 followers on TikTok in October.
What Other Skills Does She Possess?
Abigail Mulungi says that her other talent is the ability to dance. She calls herself a great dancer. Secondly, she can sing and her favorite song is “The Lord Bless You”. And last but not least skill is her ability to read the Bible. Yes, not every girl in P3 can read the Bible, especially in the ancient English language. With that said, Abigail told us that her favorite memory verse is John 1:1-22 which she recites exactly as below:
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was in the beginning with God. 3 All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made. 4 In him was life, and the life was the light of men. 5 The light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.6 There was a man (I)sent from God, whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness, to bear witness about the light, that all might believe through him. 8 He was not the light, but came to bear witness about the light.9 The true light, which gives light to everyone, was coming into the world. 10 He was in the world, and the world was made through him, yet the world did not know him. 11 He came to his own, and his own people did not receive him. 12 But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God, 13 who were born, not of blood nor of the will of the flesh nor of the will of man, but of God.14 And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen his glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth. 15 John bore witness about him, and cried out, “This was he of whom I said, (‘He who comes after me ranks before me, because he was before me.’”) 16 For from his fullness we have all received, grace upon grace. 17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. 18 No one has ever seen God; the only God,[f] who is at the Father’s side, he has made him known. The Testimony of John the Baptist19 And this is the testimony of John, when the Jews sent priests and Levites from Jerusalem to ask him, “Who are you?” 20 He confessed, and did not deny, but confessed, “I am not the Christ.” 21 And they asked him, “What then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” And he answered, “No.” 22 So they said to him, “Who are you? We need to give an answer to those who sent us. What do you say about yourself?”
