On Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at approximately 9:00 PM EST, American Eagle Flight 5342, a PSA Airlines Bombardier CRJ700 jet carrying 60 passengers and 4 crew members, collided midair with a U.S. Army Sikorsky UH-60 Black Hawk helicopter near Washington, D.C. The collision caused the plane to crash into the Potomac River.

Where did The American Eagle Flight crush?
This happened near Reagan Washington National Airport, there’s no survivors yet has been found as of now, and police have pulled multiple bodies from the water, according to officials. Several members of the U.S. figure skating community were aboard the plane, U.S.
As of now, authorities have retrieved 18 bodies from the crash site. A massive search and rescue operation is underway to locate any additional survivors.
In response to the incident, Ronald Reagan National Airport has grounded all flights.
