Faith Patricia Ariokot breaks record for longest tree hug
Faith Patricia Ariokot, a 29-year-old activist from Kampala, Uganda, has etched her name in history. Ariokot has won a new Guinness World Record for the longest tree hug.
“Trees are the unsung heroes in the battle against climate change,” Faith passionately declares, emphasizing the pivotal role of trees in combating environmental degradation.

The selection of the tree for this monumental endeavor was like finding the perfect wedding gown, Faith recounts, “The tree chose me, and it was an instant connection.”

Unlike typical endurance challenges, Ariokot joined a feat which demands unwavering commitment without reprieve. “Standing for over 16 hours straight took its toll,” she admits, acknowledging the physical strain endured during the trial.
