Today, I had the pleasure of interviewing the Biju Comedy legend herself, Nassali Maria Bridget. She is popularly known as Biju, and honestly, she has a toddler sparkle in her eyes and a smile that could light up a room. This is the story of Urban Talents Africa actress, Nassali Maria Bridget, popular on KBS TV.
The TV show title is often stylized as Biiju or Biju.
Who is Nassali Maria Bridget aka Biju?
Nassali Maria Bridget is a popular Ugandan local comedy actress especially for her Biiju Biju comedy series that air towards 9PM on KBS TV and YouTube. In these short episodes, she teams up with other actors including Josh J Mubiru Omukwano and Ken Muweera. Biiju Biju Comedy, produced by Urban Talents Africa, is a series of funny episodes of how the average Ugandans do foolish things in serious situations. Nassali is a vital character in the episodes because she acts as a child even though most people don’t know that ij real life, she’s a grown up woman at university.
Who are the parents of the Biju Comedy main actress?
Born to Mr. Bahati Louis and Mrs. Nantumbwe Elizabeth, Biju’s childhood was filled with love and laughter. From an early age, she possessed a natural talent for bringing joy to those around her. Of course, she attributes this to the nurturing environment provided by her parents.
Biju’s educational journey led her to Africa Renewal University. This is where she excelled academically and discovered her passion for the performing arts. It was here that she realized her destiny lay in the world of comedy, much to the surprise of her peers.
So, why did ‘Biju’ choose to become a full-time comedian?
When asked why she chose comedy, Biju’s answer was simple: “I got to know comedy as my destiny during high school. My Director Wilson Jaga of Princess Diana High School derived this in me.”
Which was the toughest time for Nassali?
But life wasn’t always easy for Nassali. The toughest moment came when both her parents fell ill simultaneously, leaving her feeling overwhelmed and alone. Yet, it was during this dark period that Biju found solace in her art, using comedy as a coping mechanism to navigate through the storm.
Does she get uncomfortable acting funny sometimes?
Despite the challenges she faced, Biju’s sense of humor remained intact. Acting funny to her peers wasn’t just a performance; it was a source of genuine joy. And while some may question its impact on her, Biju remains unfazed. She knows that laughter is the best medicine for the soul.
What is the biggest achievement she got her hands on?
In the entertainment world, Biju’s biggest achievement wasn’t fame or fortune. That’s right! Instead, she thinks it was the connections she forged and the skills she honed. Apart from comedy, she possessed hidden talents in poetry, dancing, and emceeing. Believe it or don’t; this is a fact that many people in her circle have known until now.
Even as a rising popular actress, Biju remains grounded. “I always run to my mother when I feel like life has gotten overly overwhelming,” she confessed.
Brands Behind Biju Comedy And Her Preferences
Currently, Nassali is associated with several prestigious brands although she’s still a simple person. The most prominent one she works with is Urban Talents Africa led by Josh J Mubiru Omukwano and Ken Muweera.
