Bugiri Accident: Tragic Collision of vehicles Claims Lives

The bugiri highway accident that shook the community, a collision between five taxis, a lorry, and a pedestrian has resulted in multiple fatalities at the spot.

At approximately 7:55 PM on March 11th, 2024, a harrowing misfortune unfolded along the Bugiri–Tororo highway in muwayo village in bugiri, claiming the lives 10 people , 8 passengers , a truck driver and the taxi driver. They were taken to bugiri hospital mortuary for post-mortem examination. Other individuals sustained serious injuries. This isn’t the first time this highway is claiming lives, in May 27, 2023 it again claimed massive lives

What the caused the Bugiri highway accident ?

As of now, the cause of the collision remains unknown. However, as investigations resume, details regarding the circumstances leading to the tragic incident are expected to emerge. Stay tuned for updates.

According to Uganda Police report, the fatal accident got involved by ten motor vehicles that were all moving towards the same direction towards Tororo, except the truck reg KAE 254c/ZA 5971 which was going the opposite towards Iganga loaded with molasses.
