Trump promised to help stop Russia’s war on Ukraine before becoming president on January 20. However, his team now says he aims to do it within his first 100 days in office, which would be by the end of April.
How Will President Donald Trump Achieve His Goal?
To facilitate this, President Donald Trump has announced plans to send Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to Ukraine for discussions with President Volodymyr Zelensky. The focus of these talks is to negotiate a deal granting the U.S. access to Ukraine’s substantial reserves of rare-earth minerals, such as lithium, titanium, and uranium, in exchange for continued American aid. This strategy aims to leverage Ukraine’s natural resources to strengthen bilateral ties and support Ukraine’s defense efforts.
