In a recent Instagram post, Sheeran revealed that he now films every studio session, a practice he adopted after facing a lawsuit regarding his hit song “Thinking Out Loud.”

“I film every studio session I do now since the lawsuit, just to show my writing process if anyone is curious,” Sheeran wrote on Instagram. “Turns out it makes for great viewing once the song is done. The creating and making of ‘Azizam’ is on YouTube now, go watch the whole thing.”
The YouTube video offers an intimate glimpse into Sheeran’s songwriting process, showcasing his collaboration with three co-writers as they refine melodies and lyrics in the studio. Fans can now witness the evolution of “Azizam” from an initial idea to a fully realized track.
Is Azizam the only song Ed Sheeran is releasing this April 2025?
In addition to the new single, Sheeran is offering an exclusive bonus track titled “Crashing” for those who preorder the physical version of “Azizam” on CD or vinyl. The singer-songwriter teased a snippet of the song on Instagram, clarifying that the track will not be included on Play and will only be available in physical formats.
When will Ed Sheeran release the Play Album?
Despite the excitement surrounding “Azizam,” Sheeran has yet to announce an official release date for Play, keeping fans eagerly anticipating further updates. It has not been confirmed when Ed Sheeran’s album will be released, however the singer has confirmed it will come out in 2025.
