Who Is Faisal Pyepar?
Since October 2023, Faisal Pyepar has been the Senior Public Relations Executive at Airtel Uganda. He has spent several years studying different forms of advertising. Most recently, he ventured into the billboard type which has been his biggest focus. Most times, Faisal is talking about complicated notions of marketing. However, the difference is that he makes it relatable to the average person.

Early Life and Upbringing
Faisal Pyepar was born in Kampala to a Muslim father and a Catholic mother. His childhood was marked by a modest upbringing, attending public school until his parents left for the United States in pursuit of better opportunities. Despite the challenges, Faisal acknowledges the positive impact of his mother, attributing his success to her unwavering support throughout his life.

A telecommunications engineer by training, Faisal’s commitment to lifelong learning led him to transition into the marketing field. He pursued various digital marketing certificates at Victoria University and is currently enrolled in the CIM and CIPR programs at Datamine. Faisal’s educational journey reflects his ambition to become an all-encompassing marketer and communications professional.
Who mentored Faisal Pyepar in the marketing world?
Faisal’s foray into marketing wasn’t guided by mentors or formal education. Instead, his journey began organically through his engagement on Twitter. As an influencer, he recognized the need for improvement and undertook self-paced “DIY courses” online. This commitment eventually landed him his first marketing role as the Digital Marketing Coordinator for Protea Hotels Uganda, under the supervision of Anne Whitehead.

Faisal’s fascination with billboards dates back to his childhood when long taxi rides provided ample time for him to memorize every billboard along the route. Recently, he started documenting his observations about billboards, adding a new dimension to his marketing expertise.
