The year was 2019 , if my memory serves me right when Patrick Ssenyojo alias Fresh Kid broke into the lime light. The youngest rapper to ever grace the Pearl of Africa music stages.
It has been a journey for the young one who from that moment doors opened up for him and he was even admitted at Kampala Parents School ( Uganda’s version of Harvard University primary section.
Won Sports Prefect seat
News reaching our desk as per our pals from Watchdog Uganda reveal that in the recent Prefects election, Fresh Kid emerged winner as the Sports Prefect.
Word has it that when asked about why he didn’t go for the Post of Entertainment prefect, he said he wanted to give other pupils the opportunity to express their talents too.
Started from bottom..
The journey from a humble background to destination no one knows to still continues. Hailing from humble background in Masaka district, the 11 year old rose to become an inspiration to the young generation in his age bracket.
Now a leader in one of the classic primary schools in Uganda. One of the few schools that some Ministers too can consider to take their children.
Handling Fresh Kid’s Talent and School
Deo Sselwanga of The Observer wrote back then in May 2019 : “successfully guided and nurtured, Fresh Kid may prove to be of superior economic and sounder tourism potential “
Mr Sselwanga by then was giving his views about the then 7 year old youngster. Progress has been made, one of the ways he has been guided and nurtured is by recieving a scholarship from Ruparelia Foundation. An organisation that is run by one of the wealthiest if not the richest man in Amazing, right?
An inspiration to the Nation
A section of people on social media were quick to congratulate Fresh Kid. Some parents thanking him for being in school as its one of the motivation used when telling young ones to go to school.
” Go to school and you will also be like Fresh Kid,” one parent commented on Facebook.
From Kampala Edge Times, congratulations to Fresh Kid for winning the Sports Prefect seat. Wish you more wins in your life.
