In a bold move set to shake up Uganda’s music scene, singer Green Daddy has announced plans to release his upcoming 8-track album on the same day as Bebe Cool’s highly anticipated project, Break The Chains.

During a recent interview on Galaxy tv, Green Daddy expressed his desire to “weigh himself” against the Gagamel boss, aiming to test his musical strength by going head-to-head with one of Uganda’s most established artists.

Green Daddy’s decision is seen as a strategic attempt to highlight the capabilities of Ugandan producers in comparison to their Nigerian counterparts. Bebe Cool’s album, Break The Chains, features production by Nigerian talents such as PhilKeyz, Sugar Vibes, and Bushingtone, with songwriting contributions from Dinno. In contrast, Green Daddy aims to showcase the prowess of local producers, emphasizing the richness of Uganda’s musical landscape.

Adding to the intrigue, Green Daddy recounted a past incident involving fellow artist Sizzaman. He claimed that Sizzaman demanded $10,000 for sampling his song “Angela” and subsequently struck Green Daddy’s YouTube channel over the dispute.
This revelation adds a layer of personal history to Green Daddy’s current endeavors, highlighting the challenges artists face within the industry.Currently, Green Daddy is promoting his latest single, “Bestie Bestie,” which is gaining traction among fans.
As the release date approaches, music enthusiasts eagerly anticipate the simultaneous drop of both albums, setting the stage for a significant moment in Uganda’s musical narrative.Stay tuned to Kampala Edge Times for updates on this developing story.
