Celebrated Ugandan musician Jose Chameleone voiced his dissatisfaction with the Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) during a welcome party held in his honor at Noni Vie. The event, attended by notable figures such as Team Chairman, Zex Bilangilagi, Green Daddy, Sande Music, MC Kats, Weasel Manizo, Pallaso, and Sandra Teta, was marked by Chameleone’s unexpected critique.

During his performance, Chameleone expressed disappointment over the UNMF’s lack of acknowledgment upon his return, stating, “I expected a warmer reception from the Federation, but it seems my contributions have been overlooked.”

In response, UNMF President Eddy Kenzo addressed the concerns, emphasizing his respect for Chameleone and clarifying that he was unaware of the event. Kenzo stated, “Chameleone is a pillar of our music industry, and I hold him in the highest regard. Had I been informed, I would have ensured the Federation’s presence to honor him appropriately.”

The incident has sparked discussions within the Ugandan music community about communication and unity among artists and industry bodies. Observers hope that this dialogue will lead to strengthened relationships and better coordination in the future. For further updates on this developing story, stay tuned .
