Before we go too far, let’s rekindle our minds about this amazing Afro-soul vocalist.

Mbabazi was originally part of the Ugandan girl trio Blu 3 in 2004 alongside Cinderella Sanyu and Jackie Chandiru. However, in 2010, Lilian embarked on a solo music career which would lead her as far as Coke Studio Africa. We eventually saw hits like Vitamin featuring Weasel, Simple Girl, Danger (Love Letter), and Memories featuring A Pass.
The songstress has won a couple of awards as well from Tanzania Music Awards to MTV and Channel O awards.
What Is The Big Announcement?
Lilian Mbabazi has officially announced her comeback to the music scene. The exquisite Ugandan singer posted on Twitter about her excitement to drop her new EP “The One”.
She has not yet announced the official date of releasing the whole album. However, our sources have confirmed that the first single of The One EP is for 26th August 2022. You can also save the entire EP by following this link.
Will There Be A Blu 3 Reunion?
While this looks like a solo project, we have seen Mbabazi tease about a Blu 3 reunion since July 2022.
Lilian has been associated with several huge brands, especially Prudential Uganda. She is usually on the face of the insurance company’s Billboard together with Navio.
Now that she has announced a return to the music scene, we’re yet to see new rhythms. We are also yet to find out if she might have a concert just like her best friend Juliana did recently.
