I first heard about Dax Vibez a few years ago when he released Mayumba Kumi featuring the late Mowzey Radio. And I was struck—completely star-struck. I loved it. The song was so amazing, and I could immediately tell that this guy knew exactly what he was doing. From that moment, I started looking out for him. I downloaded Mayumba Kumi, and I just had this strong feeling that Dax Vibez music had a huge future ahead of him. Fast forward a few years later, and I realized that Mayumba Kumi was released in 2021. And guess what? The song has aged so well that it still gives him a strong backdrop to this day.

Since then, I have seen this singer release more incredible songs. He has given us Believe featuring Vinka, Tabbu featuring Ava Peace, and so many other great tracks. Yet, despite his talent and hard work, he remains one of the most underrated artists in Uganda.
UPDATE: Dax Vibez has announced a new song with Azawi titled Ku Sure. The new song goes live tomorrow, Friday 28 Feb 2025. You can’t deny it, we all needed a Dax Vibez ft. Azawi feature to blow up the airwaves. Is it a good song? Well, we just need to wait because he has always cooked good music. You also know Azawi; when she enters a studio she brews very exquisite work.

His songs are currently trending, but many people are paying more attention to the artists he collaborates with rather than him. People are looking out for Vinka or Ava Peace instead of recognizing the man behind the music. But the truth is, Dax Vibez is delivering quality music—consistently. He doesn’t need to brag or chase controversy like some artists like Alien Skin (NO OFFENSE). His music speaks for itself. Let’s face it, this guy is never talking about how great he is, but instead puts in the hard work.

I recently listened to his song At My Door, and I was blown away. That song is absolutely beautiful! If I were to rank my top Dax Vibez songs, I’d say:
- Mayumba Kumi
- Believe
- At My Door
- Tabbu
Of course, you can have your ranking, but for me, these tracks prove that the dancehall and romantic star is a force to reckon with. Looking at his catalog, he has also given us songs like Naye, My Hero, and It Is Okay. The man has done incredible work, and you can’t deny his talent.
If the Ugandan airwaves gave him more attention, he would easily win bigger awards. He is that talented.
