In what was a last day title decider match , both Manchester City and Liverpool went down to keep their fans on tension. However, both teams managed to turn around the game. This meant Man City being crowned Champions as they had come into the game leading Liverpool with one point.

Gundogan celebrates scoring the winning goal for Man City.

Man City’s Spirit of Champions

Steven Gerrard’s Aston villa went ahead via a Matty Cash goal. Etihad Stadium went silent . The home fans could not understand it at all. Pep Guardiola unstable on the touch-line. A not so strange character but rather the very trademark Guardiola – tic-tac.

To make matters worse , Liverpool Legend Phillippe Coutinho made it 0-2 . By now the home fans were murmuring. Memories of the Champions League exit flashing up. Another disappointment looming at the corners.

Man City turned to its Blue Army on the bench. Gundogan , a substitute who came in with 22 minutes of normal time remaining did the job. He scored the first goal in the 76 munute. Two minutes later fellow Midfielder Rodri made it level.

The big moment came in the 81 Minute as Gundogan scored the goal that handed City their fourth English premier League trophy in five seasons.

English Premier League Top Four Race concluded

Antonio Conte’s Tottenham came into the game needing a draw or win to secure Champions League spot. They did the job nice and clean . A 5- 0 thrashing of already relegated Norwich city made it impossible for Arsenal who had won 5-1 by beating visiting Everton team.

Tottrnham’s Son scored two gaols and is level on goals with Mo Salah as joint top scorers.

On the other hand, Manchester United and West ham also had their own battle to fight. Securing the sixth position so as to qualify for Europa League. Man Utd lost at Crystal Palace and Brighton came from behind to make a 3-1 over West Ham.

The relegation list that already had Norwich city and Watford as confirmed members , was added another member.

Leeds United escaped with a win over Brentford as Jack Harrison scored a Last minute winner leaving Jesse Marsh’s side celebrating Premier League survival. This meant Burnley joining Norwich and Watford relegated teams.

Jack Harrison scored in the 94th minute to save Leeds from being relegated.
