Myco Chris: From ‘Zino Enaku’ To ‘More Than A Conqueror’
The BEEFTA award-winning singer-songwriter Myco Chris has released a teaser to unveil his latest single, More Than A Conqueror. This comes years after silence since he staged a sold-out charity concert at Kampala Serena in 2019. Myco Chris is mostly notable to Ugandans from the GoodLyf song, Zino Enaku.
Produced at Gold Dust Studios in London, the danceable inspirational track exudes sophistication and contemporary flair. It also features backing vocals by Lynn Chris and rhymes from Marvin, his friend from Canada. You could call it a fusion of new-school energy and timeless musicality.

Myco Chris’ Collaborations and Influences
Working with Radio and Weasel
Working with Mowzey Radio and Weasel goes back to 2008. Radio and Weasel had traveled to London for a show, and they were flying out the next day. So, the ‘pen master,’ lyricist, and composer in Myco Chris had to roll down a melody which would become a guiding hook for Zino Enaku. He called on OJ and Kulee who voiced their parts. Radio and Weasel did their thing too. Myco engineered and produced the track. The rest is history. It’s actually during that time that Radio switched up his vibe. The articulation, the tone, because of working with Myco as a songwriter. There is a way they harmonized into a new identity without losing the Ugandan aroma. This was a time when Radio and Weasel had quit Leone Island.
Achievements and Challenges of Myco Chris
Big Achievements So Far:
Myco Chris’ biggest achievement perhaps is developing talent. Case in point is his daughter Israella Chris, whom he has mentored based at his UK-based church. Last year she auditioned for kids’ voice until she won the competition that came with the recording contract with Universal Studios in Hollywood. To Myco Chris – empowering the young and youth into salvation and developing their God-given talents comes top-tier in his objectives.
What are his Tough Moments?
In the face of life’s challenges, Myco says he finds strength and resilience through his faith in God. “Every day poses its own set of trials, but with God by my side and a sharpened mindset, those tough moments get less tough and rather become a source of determination. That’s what ‘More Than A Conqueror‘ preaches. Witnessing the growth of my family, children, and ministry, and navigating through the difficulties of the COVID-19 pandemic, it’s clear that I’ve conquered the toughest moments. Now, I stand ready to inspire others to be strong in what you term toughest and stand ready to overcome what’s ahead.’’
What to Expect of Myco Chris Now and in the Near Future
2024 has already started on a bang by releasing More Than A Conqueror – one with a ‘new school’ synergy. The future too holds promising collaboration fits including Universal Studios while nurturing his daughter Israella into modern influences while maintaining his archetypal classical style. Myco Chris is working to launch new talent at Kainos Entertainment too.
For now, we ought to listen, enjoy, and grasp the gospel and art that has come with More Than A Conqueror. The accompanying music video for Conqueror, directed, edited, and produced by Keith Enock of Bantu Productions, will be available for viewing on 12th February.
