Friday June 21 saw Rubongi Army SS ( RASS) officially crowned Tororo District Netball Champions 2024. This was after winning the finals against Tororo Girls School on Thursday in a hotly contested match.

During the Semi finals, Tororo Girls School overcame the famous Rock High School which at the moment seems to be rocking at the bottom. As for RASS, they beat a resilient Great Aubrey Memorial College team ( GAMCO).
Surprisingly, one of the former students of RASS ,now in GAMCO was among the key players causing trouble to RASS. However, as they have done right from the first game , RASS came out on top to face Tororo Girls School and claim the ultimate prize.

Apparently, RASS and Tororo Girls School will be gearing up for regional competitions. It’s at this point that the best teams will be selected to go and compete in nationals. Last year both schools managed to go for nationals though things didn’t go well but it seems they are now a different team from that of the previous year.
