Where did Rebecca Mirembe Kisakye acquire her education?
For Rebecca, education has been a compass guiding her toward her dreams.
“I began my academic journey at Cornerstone Junior School, continued through Uganda Martyrs Senior Secondary School Namugongo for O’levels, and completed A’levels at St. Joseph’s High School Namagunga,” she shares. Seeking to merge her love for fashion with formal training, Rebecca pursued a certificate in fashion and design at Baroma Vocational Institute. Her academic pursuits culminated in a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Uganda Christian University.
Why do models obsess about runways?
Rebecca’s foray into modeling wasn’t just about appearances.
“Modeling, for me, is a powerful tool to showcase my talents and stand out for leadership roles,” she articulates. “The runway isn’t just a stage; it’s a space where I find the confidence to express myself uniquely.”

Choosing to contest as Miss Gorgeous 2023 was a conscious decision rooted in Rebecca’s passion for community service.
“I saw the crown as a means to reach out to as many youth and women as possible,” she explains. “It’s a symbol of my commitment to making a positive impact and serving my community.”
Which was her toughest time in life?
Rebecca’s journey hasn’t been without challenges.
“High school presented some tough times,” she reflects. “I faced bullying, was told I looked like a boy, and experienced temporary expulsion due to financial constraints.” These challenges, however, only fueled her determination to succeed.
What Rebecca Mirembe thinks about going to India
The prospect of representing her country in India as Miss Gorgeous 2023 is both thrilling and humbling for Rebecca.
“It feels like a privilege,” she says. “The responsibility motivates me to prepare for the significant role that lies ahead.”
Who mentored her?
Rebecca draws inspiration from her queen mother, Eunice Aleni, and her love for pageantry.
“These influences have shaped me into a better, more honorable citizen, ready for service,” she affirms.
What next after winning the crown
Rebecca envisions a future beyond the crown—a future of skill-building outreach programs.
“I aim to train women and youth in creating handcrafts using recyclable materials,” she passionately shares. “This not only contributes to environmental sustainability but also empowers them economically.”

Rebecca’s accolades include being crowned Miss Tourism Buddu 2022, Miss Personality Buganda Kingdom 2022, and earning the title of Miss Tourism Muganda Best Cultural Wear 2022.
“I’ve crafted award-winning creative wears in regions like Kigezi and Teso in Miss Tourism Competitions 2023,” she proudly states.
