What do experts say about Sylvia Owori vs Sarah Opendi?
Opendi, a former two-time State minister, has held the Tororo Woman MP seat for two terms and has been noted for her outspokenness and controversial stances on various issues in Parliament. Despite her political experience and accomplishments, Owori’s association with Gen Salim Saleh, a prominent figure in Ugandan politics, adds weight to her candidacy. Owori’s diverse background, from fashion to publishing, gives her a unique perspective as she ventures into politics.
Who is a better candidate?
While Opendi holds the advantage in terms of political experience, local observers believe Owori’s ties to Gen Salim Saleh could sway the electorate in her favor.
