Yesterday saw two teams Watford and Norwich battling not to be relegated from England’s top league; the premier league in a hot contested match at the Vicarage Road Stadium.
Norwich began at the front foot of the match as hard work from Finnish veteran striker Pukki produced a wonderful cross that Josh Sargent scored through a brilliant scorpion kick in the 51st minute, the American striker added his night’s second in the 74th minute.
The night went from bad to worse for the Hornets as their key man Emmanuel Dennis got a second yellow card of the night from a rash high boot challenge on A. Aarons that got him sent off.
Constant pressure from the Canaries resulted into a 3rd goal, late in extra time as Idah’s low cross found itself at the back of the net with help from a Watford defender.
Norwich left the relegation spot to up to the 17th position while Watford sank to the 18th, they however have a chance to leave the relegation zone with some games in hand, one being their trip to Burnley on the 5th of February next Saturday. Norwich on the other hand will play Crystal Palace next on the 9th of February, Wednesday.
The premier league continues today as Everton host Coutinho’s Aston villa and the hammers visit Old Trafford later on.
