Key Responsibilities
Enumerators will be responsible for:
- Participating in all training sessions and meeting assessment criteria.
- Locating fish farms in assigned districts.
- Identifying and interviewing selected respondents, recording responses accurately using the provided application.
- Identifying and correcting errors or inconsistencies in data during interviews in consultation with respondents.
- Ensuring the confidentiality of all collected data.
- Managing and safeguarding survey materials and equipment allocated to them.
- Synchronizing data collected after each interview.
- Preparing and submitting daily progress reports to the supervisor.
- Submitting an end-of-activity report to the supervisor.
- Observing research ethics as guided.
- Performing additional duties as assigned by the field supervisor.
Minimum Qualifications
To qualify for the enumerator position, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- A minimum of an Ordinary Level Certificate (Uganda Certificate of Education) or its equivalent.
- A minimum of a credit score in Mathematics and English at O-level.
Experience
While prior experience is not mandatory, training in fisheries or aquaculture is considered an added advantage.

- A Tax Identification Number (TIN) and registration with the National Social Security Fund (NSSF).
- Residency in the district where they wish to work.
