Three weeks ago Caspian Marvin and Victor Ruz released the audio version of the song Tattoo. Today at around 4:00 PM the Retro Records boys released the much anticipated video to the song that has received massive viewership thanks to its message.
Contrary to the popular belief held by some that once an audio version of the song is popular, little effort is put in the video production. Victor Ruz and Caspian Marvin go all-out in producing a quality video that resonates with the song’s message.
Tattoo Video Analysed
The video of 3 :34 minutes begins with Caspian Marvin traveling on a “Boda-boda” only to see his lover/ex lover. He gets off the “Boda-boda” to talk to her but is utterly snubbed. This opens the colorful visual storytelling that ushers in Caspian and Victor’s houses in the video as they both speak out their heart about the love they thought would never end.
The production quality is top class notably because one of Uganda’s experienced Film Video Directors , Aaronnaire On Set plus Producer Paki join brians to produce a masterpiece. A masterpiece that continues to highlight how serious Retro Records is towards producing quality music.
The video’s colour and lighting are not so bright to depict happiness but rather a bit dark. This brings out the mood of the song- sadness. Failed love that was meant to last the test of time . This thumbs up for the great editing and cinematography by the producers.
The two young artists show there emotions in the video, singing their souls out. Consequently, this emotional impact it translates almost automatically to the viewers. One feels for them, the failed love they cry out to.
In conclusion, Tattoo is one great in that it enhances the viewer’s understanding or enjoyment of the song. What the viewers listens to is what they watch . Not vice versa.
