First of its kind, YSAU aims at supporting 1,000 local innovators across the country with different skills.These skills include both technical and business skills.
This entrepreneurship programme has been the orchestrated by International Trade Center (ITC), Korea SMEs and Startups Agency (KOSME), the National Information Technology Authority (NITA-U) and Hive Colab.
How the Youth Start-Up Uganda will work
Launched on Tuesday 21 June 2022 at Mestil Hotel , the project is now open to receive pitches from youths. This will cater for people allover the country.1000 people / youths to be precise.
“We as NITA Uganda are committed to give support to this Youth start up academy at all levels, right from planning, implementation, among others,” Dr. Hatwib Mugasa, Executive Director of NITA-Uganda said.
“The youth population in Uganda is 77%, the highest youth population in the world, how do we support them? This programme has arrived at the right time,” he added
